Bringing The Joy of Arabic Dance To You
Tuesday April 20th 2010 - workshop - Subject TCB - (Improver Level Plus workshop).

Time:TBC

Venue: Quidhampton Village Hall, Lower Road, Quidhampton,Salisbury, SP2 9AR
What Is a Workshop?

A workshop is usually about 2 hours long, but can also be 4 hours split into two halves with a lunch break, depending on the nature of what is being learned. Beginners workshops are usually only 2 hours long because muscles will tire quite quickly. Dancers who are more advanced will manage a day's tuition.
Usually a complete routine is taught to a piece of music selected by the teacher. You should come away from the workshop, relaxed, happy and exercised with a new knowledge base and a dance routine that can be polished and even performed. Notes will be provided on the music and the choreography.
Why Book Tracey?

  • Tracey is an award winning dancer with good reason. She studied intensively with the best teachers she could find in the UK and in Cairo. Many of these teachers recognised in her early on the potential to be a great professional dance performer and encouraged her to work hard.
  • She has danced all her life and took up middle eastern dance in 1996 after a workshop with Medea Mahdavi. Intensive training started in 2004. She took a tip from Hiratio Cifucentes in 2004 and studied DVD's from the best dancers around the world every day. She took all of that input and used it to develop her own unique style of dance over many long hours in a home studio.
  • She studied ballet as a child so has excellent lines and posture and is a natural dancer and performer.
  • She trained intensively with teachers who had strong theatre performance backgrounds. They were generous teachers who provided her with a thorough understanding of performance and presentation skills.
  • Despite her disability (prosthetic leg) her return to dance has been amazing and her performance skills and artistry of the dance remain as strong as they ever were.
  • Tracey continues to work on her own dance on a weekly basis and continues to get instruction at the highest possible level by taking workshops in Arabic dance by the best teachers available. Both in the UK and in Egypt.
  • She is a generous and qualified teacher who understands that each student has their own learning style and can deliver quality tuition to mixed ability groups. She also makes learning FUN!
  • She is fully insured and is a REPS qualified fitness instructor so delivers extremely safe and physically orientated classes giving excellent breakdown and explanation of movements.
